German REXROTH Solenoid Valves
Before installation, carefully read the product's instruction manual, verify that the product meets the usage requirements, familiarize yourself with the installation points, and prepare accordingly.
2. Verify that the parameters indicated on the nameplate are those of the selected product and consistent with the instruction manual.
3. Before connecting the pipes, thoroughly flush the pipeline with a pressure of 0.3 MPa to remove metal powder, residual sealing material, rust, etc.
4. Pay attention to the cleanliness of the medium. If impurities such as dirt in the medium hinder the normal operation of the solenoid valve, a filter should be installed in the pipeline.
5. Solenoid valves should not be installed in low-lying areas of pipelines. If installed in the discharge pipe of a container, ensure it is not led out from the bottom of the container, but rather installed slightly above the bottom.
6. If the medium is prone to water hammer, a multi-functional solenoid valve should be selected or appropriate preventative measures should be taken.
7. Steam solenoid valves should have a steam trap on the inlet side. The connection at this point should be angled, and the steam trap should be installed at a low position. Ideally, a multi-port backwash filter should be installed.
8. Rexroth solenoid valves are generally directional and must not be installed backwards. An arrow on the valve body usually indicates the direction of medium flow; install according to the arrow's direction.
9. Generally, the solenoid coil of a solenoid valve should be upright and perpendicular to the pipeline. Some products have specific requirements; please follow the instruction manual for installation.
10. When connecting pipes, be careful not to use excessive sealing material. When using threaded connections, the pipe thread should be kept within its effective length, and the end half-pitch should be chamfered with a file. Starting two threads from the end, wrap sealing tape around the valve. Otherwise, excessive sealing tape or adhesive will enter the solenoid valve, causing malfunctions.
11. Sufficient space should be provided at the installation location of the Rexroth solenoid valve for routine maintenance and periodic repairs.
12. During installation, use a wrench or pipe wrench to secure the valve body before tightening the pipe connection. Never apply force to the coil assembly, as this can cause deformation and prevent the solenoid valve from functioning properly.
13. In cases of insufficient pipeline rigidity or water hammer, securely fix the valve's upstream and downstream pipe connections with brackets.
14. When using in freezing environments, protect the pipeline with insulation material or install a heater on the pipeline.
15. Always check for leaks in the solenoid valve itself and at its connection to the pipes.
16. Verify the connection of the coil leads, especially in cases with three leads.
17. Electrical components connected to the solenoid valve, such as relays, switches, and contactors, should not vibrate during valve opening; otherwise, operation will be unreliable and the lifespan of the solenoid valve will be affected.
18. The electrical circuit must be connected to an appropriate fuse for protection.
19. For ease of maintenance and repair, or to avoid interrupting continuous production, it is recommended to use a bypass isolation installation method for general solenoid valves.
