Selection Method for Italian ATOS DKE Solenoid Valves

$454.08

The Italian ATOS solenoid valve has a very small clearance between the spool and the valve core (less than 0.008mm), and it is generally assembled as a single piece. When mechanical impurities are introduced or the lubricating oil is insufficient, it can easily become stuck. A temporary fix is to insert a steel wire through the small hole at the head to make it spring back. The fundamental solution is to disassemble the solenoid valve, remove the valve core and valve core sleeve, and clean them with CCI4 to ensure the valve core moves freely within the valve sleeve. During disassembly, pay attention to the assembly sequence of each component and the location of external wiring to ensure correct reassembly and wiring. Also check if the lubricator spray nozzle is blocked and if the lubricating oil is sufficient.

Main Features of ATOS Solenoid Valves:

1.1 New integrated electro-hydraulic design, with a streamlined structure and excellent performance.

1.2 Highly responsive solenoids are available in anti-slip, self-safe, and armored types, suitable for marine or military applications.

1.3 All seals are static seals, while all moving parts are protected and lubricated by hydraulic oil.

1.4 Flexible assembly ensures smooth and reliable reversing.

1.5 Raw material sealing wires are easy to replace.

1.6 Various electrical and electronic connectors are available depending on the application conditions and electrical installation interface. 1.7 The cast oil pan passage ensures a low pressure drop.

1.8 Interchangeable A-cores facilitate the assembly of different n-core valves.

The ATOS solenoid valve consists of an electromagnetic coil and a magnetic core, and is a valve body containing one or more orifices. When the coil is energized or de-energized, the rotation of the magnetic core causes the flow through the valve body or is cut off, thereby changing the direction of the fluid. The electromagnetic components of the ATOS solenoid valve consist of a stationary iron core, a moving iron core, and a coil; the valve body consists of a spool, a spool sleeve, and a spring base. The electromagnetic coil is directly mounted on the valve body, which is enclosed in a sealing tube, forming a simple and compact assembly. Commonly used solenoid valves in our production include 2-position 2-way and 2-position 3-way valves. The term "two positions" for ATOS solenoid valves refers to energized and de-energized states, and for the controlled valve, to open and closed states. When current flows through the coil, it generates an energizing effect, attracting the moving iron core to the fixed iron core. The moving iron core then drives the spool valve core and compresses the spring, changing the position of the spool valve core and thus changing the direction of fluid flow. When the coil is de-energized, the spring force pushes the spool valve core back, returning the moving iron core to its original position, allowing the fluid to flow in its original direction.

The fluid in the ATOS solenoid valve pipeline must be consistent with the medium specified in the selected solenoid valve series model. The fluid temperature must be lower than the rated temperature of the selected solenoid valve. BURKERT solenoid valves generally allow liquid viscosities below 20 CST; viscosities greater than 20 CST should be specified. For operating differential pressure, when the maximum differential pressure in the pipeline is less than 0.04 MPa, direct-acting and step-by-step direct-acting solenoid valves such as the ZS, 2W, ZQDF, and ZCM series should be selected; when the minimum operating differential pressure is greater than 0.04 MPa, pilot-operated (differential pressure) solenoid valves can be selected; the maximum operating differential pressure should be less than the maximum rated pressure of the solenoid valve; generally, solenoid valves are unidirectional, so pay attention to whether there is back pressure differential, and install a check valve if so. When the fluid cleanliness is not high, a filter should be installed before the BURKERT solenoid valve, as solenoid valves generally require good media cleanliness. Pay attention to the flow orifice diameter and the pipe inlet diameter; BURKERT solenoid valves generally only have two-position on/off control; if conditions permit, install a bypass pipe for easy maintenance; if water hammer occurs, the opening and closing time adjustment of the solenoid valve should be customized. Pay attention to the influence of ambient temperature on the solenoid valve. The power supply current and power consumption should be selected according to the output capacity; the power supply voltage generally allows ±10%, but it is important to note that the VA value is higher during AC startup.
