Coil voltage ratings are generally DC24V, AC220V, etc. Two-position three-way solenoid valves are divided into normally closed and normally open types. A normally closed type means the air path is closed when the coil is not energized, while a normally open type means the air path is open when the coil is not energized. The operating principle of a normally closed two-position three-way Rexroth solenoid valve: When the coil is energized, the air path is connected; when the coil is de-energized, the air path is disconnected, which is equivalent to "jogging". The operating principle of a normally open two-position three-way single-coil controlled solenoid valve: When the coil is energized, the air path is disconnected; when the coil is de-energized, the air path is connected, which is also "jogging". The operating principle of a two-position five-way dual-electric solenoid valve is as follows: When the positive coil is energized, the positive air path is connected (air flows through the positive air outlet). Even after the positive coil is de-energized, the positive air path remains connected until the negative coil is energized. Similarly, when the negative coil is energized, the negative air path is connected (air flows through the negative air outlet). Even after the negative coil is de-energized, the negative air path remains connected until the positive coil is energized. This is equivalent to "self-locking." Based on this characteristic of the two-position five-way dual-electric solenoid valve, when designing electromechanical control circuits or programming PLCs, the solenoid valve coil can be allowed to operate for only 1-2 seconds, thus protecting it from damage.
