Our standard products are all continuous duty, meaning the coil is allowed to be energized continuously. For situations where the valve is open for extended periods with only short periods of closure, a normally open solenoid valve is recommended. For applications requiring short-time operation with large batch sizes, special orders can be placed to reduce power consumption.
3. Operating Frequency: For applications requiring high operating frequency, a direct-acting solenoid valve should be preferred, and AC power should be the preferred option.
4. Operational Reliability: Strictly speaking, this test is not yet formally included in my country's solenoid valve professional standards. To ensure quality, products from reputable manufacturers should be selected. In some applications, the number of operations is not high, but the reliability requirements are very high, such as fire protection and emergency protection. This should not be taken lightly. For particularly critical applications, two valves should be used together for double protection.
PARKER pressure control valves are available in hydraulic and pneumatic versions, but the principles are almost identical. Here's a description of the hydraulic version:
Valve Structure:

Function:
The damping piston serves two purposes: first, it dampens the cone valve during opening or closing, improving the valve's pressure regulation stability; second, it guides the cone valve, improving its sealing performance. The function of the deflector plate: The deflector plate has an annular groove to change the direction of fluid flow at the outlet of the cone valve. This deflector plate is subjected to a hydraulic force, which acts in the opposite direction to the spring force and increases with the increase of overflow. When the overflow increases, the spring force increases due to the increased opening of the cone valve. However, since the hydraulic force also increases simultaneously, the structure offsets the increase in spring force. Therefore, the inlet pressure of this type of valve is not affected by changes in flow rate, its p-Q characteristic curve is relatively ideal, and its opening and closing characteristics are good, which is beneficial for increasing the valve's rated flow.
Analysis of the application of control methods for PARKER pressure control valves (USA)
1) Acting as a Parker safety valve (preventing hydraulic system overload): When the relief valve acts as a safety valve, it is to limit the maximum pressure of the hydraulic system to ensure system safety. Under normal system operation, the valve is closed and does not overflow; the system's working pressure is determined by the external load. When the system pressure reaches the valve's set pressure, the valve opens and overflows; at this time, the system pressure is determined by the set pressure of the relief valve.
2) Functioning as a Parker relief valve (maintaining constant hydraulic system pressure): In throttling speed control systems, the relief valve is normally open during operation, releasing excess oil back to the tank to maintain a relatively constant hydraulic system pressure.
3) Unloading the Parker hydraulic system: By connecting the remote control port of a pilot-operated relief valve to the oil tank, the system can be unloaded using the relief valve. The DBW type pilot-operated solenoid relief valve can achieve system unloading using its own solenoid directional valve, while other pilot-operated relief valves require the addition of a directional valve to the remote control port for system unloading.
4) Remote pressure regulation: Connecting a remote pressure regulating valve to the remote control port of the pilot-operated relief valve enables remote pressure regulation.
Furthermore, the relief valve can also be used as a back pressure valve to ensure smooth system operation; the relief valve, in conjunction with a directional valve, can achieve multi-stage pressure control of the system; in braking circuits, the relief valve can achieve braking; in hydraulic test bench systems, the relief valve can be used as a loading valve, etc.
