Single-piston pumps

The main structural components include an eccentric wheel, pistons, springs, a cylinder block, and two one-way valves. A sealed volume is formed between the piston and the cylinder bore. One rotation of the eccentric wheel causes the piston to reciprocate once, drawing in oil downwards and discharging oil upwards. The volume of oil discharged per revolution is called the displacement, which depends only on the pump's structural parameters.

Horizontal piston pumps

Horizontal piston pumps consist of several pistons (usually 3 or 6) installed side-by-side. A crankshaft drives the pistons in reciprocating motion via connecting rods and sliders, or directly via an eccentric shaft, to achieve the suction and discharge of liquids. They also employ valve-type distribution devices and are mostly fixed-displacement pumps. Emulsion pumps in coal mine hydraulic support systems are generally horizontal piston pumps. Emulsion pumps are used in coal mining faces to provide emulsion to hydraulic supports. Their working principle relies on the rotation of the crankshaft to drive the piston in reciprocating motion, achieving fluid intake and discharge.

Axial Type

An axial piston pump (English name: Piston pump) is a piston pump where the reciprocating motion of the piston or plunger is parallel to the cylinder's central axis. Axial piston pumps utilize the volume change generated by the reciprocating motion of the plunger parallel to the drive shaft within the plunger bore. Because both the plunger and the plunger bore are circular parts, a high precision fit can be achieved, resulting in a large volume.

Straight Shaft Swashplate Type

Straight shaft swashplate piston pumps are divided into pressure-fed and self-priming types. Pressure-fed hydraulic pumps mostly use pressurized oil tanks. With hydraulic oil tanks supplied by air pressure, after each machine start-up, the hydraulic oil tank must reach the required air pressure before the machine can be operated. Starting the machine when the hydraulic oil tank pressure is insufficient can cause the slippers inside the hydraulic pump to come loose, resulting in abnormal wear between the return plate and the pressure plate inside the pump body.
