PARKER directional control valves are used to control the flow direction of hydraulic fluid or regulate its flow rate and pressure in hydraulic systems. As a type of hydraulic valve, the directional control valve controls the flow direction of the hydraulic fluid by changing the flow path. Types of directional control valves include check valves, hydraulically piloted check valves, directional control valves, stroke reduction valves, filling valves, shuttle valves, etc.

(1) According to the flow direction of the fluid in the pipeline, if the fluid is only allowed to flow in one direction, such a valve is called a directional control valve, such as a check valve or shuttle valve; a control valve that can change the flow direction of the fluid is called a directional control valve, such as the commonly used two-position two-way, two-position three-way, two-position five-way, three-position five-way, etc.

(2) According to the control method, they can be divided into solenoid valves, mechanical valves, pneumatic valves, and manually controlled valves. Solenoid valves can be further divided into single and double solenoid valves; mechanical valves can be divided into ball valves, roller valves, etc.; pneumatic valves can also be divided into single and double pneumatic valves; manual valves can be divided into manual valves and foot valves.

(3) According to their working principle, valves can be divided into direct-acting valves and pilot valves. Direct-acting valves rely on human, electromagnetic, or pneumatic force to directly achieve the switching requirement; pilot valves consist of a pilot head and a valve body, with the pilot head piston driving the valve stem inside the valve body to achieve the switching.

(4) Based on the working position of the directional valve stem, valves can be divided into 2-way and 3-way valves.

(5) Based on the number of air ports on the valve, valves can be divided into 2-port, 3-port, and 5-port valves.
