The working principle of the Italian ATOS solenoid valve is a combination of direct-acting and pilot-operated principles. When there is no pressure difference between the inlet and outlet, energizing the valve causes the electromagnetic force to lift the pilot valve and the main valve closing element sequentially, opening the valve. When the inlet and outlet reach the starting pressure difference, energizing the valve causes the electromagnetic force to actuate the pilot valve, increasing the pressure in the lower chamber of the main valve and decreasing the pressure in the upper chamber, thus using the pressure difference to push the main valve open. When de-energized, the pilot valve uses spring force or medium pressure to push the closing element downwards, closing the valve.

Italian ATOS solenoid valves are electromagnetically controlled industrial devices, fundamental components for fluid control automation. They are actuators, not limited to hydraulic or pneumatic systems. Used in industrial control systems to adjust the direction, flow rate, speed, and other parameters of the medium. Solenoid valves can be used with different circuits to achieve the desired control, ensuring both precision and flexibility. There are many types of solenoid valves, each playing a different role in the control system. Commonly used types include check valves, safety valves, directional control valves, and speed control valves.
Working Principle of Italian ATOS Solenoid Valves
The Italian ATOS solenoid valve contains a sealed chamber with through-holes at different positions, each connecting to a different oil pipe. Inside the chamber is a piston, flanked by two electromagnets. When the coil of one electromagnet is energized, the valve body is attracted to that side. Controlling the movement of the valve body opens or closes different drain holes. The inlet hole is always open, allowing hydraulic oil to enter different drain pipes. The oil pressure then pushes the piston in the cylinder, which in turn moves the piston rod, which in turn drives the mechanical device. Thus, controlling the flow of current to the electromagnets controls the mechanical movement.
Performance Requirements of Italian ATOS Solenoid Valves:
1. Reversing Performance
Under specified operating conditions, can the solenoid valve reliably reverse direction after being energized and reliably reset after being de-energized?
2. Pressure Loss
The pressure loss of the solenoid directional valve consists of flow loss and throttling loss caused by the fluid flowing through the valve orifice.
3. Internal Leakage
The internal leakage of a solenoid directional valve refers to the leakage from the high-pressure chamber to the low-pressure chamber under specified operating conditions and in various operating positions.
4. Switching and Reset Time
The time required from the energization of the solenoid to the termination of the valve core switching. Reset time refers to the time required from the de-energization of the solenoid to the valve core returning to its initial position.
5. Switching Frequency
The maximum number of switching operations allowed per unit time.
6. Service Life
The Italian ATOS solenoid valve is considered safe when major components are damaged, preventing normal switching and reset operations, or when its main performance indicators significantly deteriorate beyond the specified number of switching operations. [1]
