HYDAC Pressure Sensor Performance Parameters:
HYDAC pressure sensors come in many types, and their performance varies considerably. How to choose the most suitable sensor for an economical and reasonable choice?
1. Rated Pressure Range
The rated pressure range is the pressure range that meets the standard specifications. That is, between the highest and lowest pressures, the pressure range within which the sensor outputs its specified operating characteristics. In practical applications, the pressure measured by the sensor is within this range. Currently, the highest measurement range for sensors can reach 300 MPa or higher.
2. Maximum Pressure Range
The maximum pressure range refers to the maximum pressure the sensor can withstand for an extended period without causing a change in its output characteristics. Especially for semiconductor pressure sensors, to improve linearity and temperature characteristics, the rated pressure range is generally significantly reduced. Therefore, it will not be damaged even with continuous use above the rated pressure. The maximum pressure is generally 2-3 times the highest rated pressure.
3. Damage Pressure
Damage pressure refers to the maximum pressure that can be machined onto the sensor without damaging the sensor element or housing.
4. Linearity
Linearity refers to the maximum deviation from the linear relationship between the sensor output and the pressure within the operating pressure range.
5. Pressure Hysteresis
This is the difference in sensor output as the sensor approaches a certain pressure from the minimum and maximum operating pressures at room temperature and within the operating pressure range.
6. Temperature Range
The temperature range of a pressure sensor is divided into the compensated temperature range and the operating temperature range. The compensated temperature range is the temperature range within which the accuracy falls within the rated range due to temperature compensation. The operating temperature range is the temperature range within which the pressure sensor can operate normally.
The HYDAC pressure sensor is a commonly used sensor in industrial practice. The output of a typical pressure sensor is an analog signal. An analog signal is a signal whose information parameters are continuous within a given range. Or, within a continuous time interval, the characteristic quantity representing the information can present any value at any instant. The pressure sensors we commonly use are primarily manufactured using the piezoelectric effect; these sensors are also called piezoelectric sensors.
HYDAC Pressure Sensors
HYDAC Technology GmbH, Germany, specializes in manufacturing components and devices for fluid filtration, hydraulic control, and electronic measurement technologies. It is a world-renowned manufacturer of hydraulic components, including filters, accumulators, hydraulic valves, electronic products, pipe clamps, electromagnets, and hydraulic system assemblies. HYDAC products have a wide range of applications, covering almost all industries, particularly in metallurgy, automotive, power equipment, chemical, construction machinery, papermaking, shipbuilding, and machine tool manufacturing.
A HYDAC pressure sensor is a detection device that senses the measured information and transforms it into an electrical signal or other desired form of information output according to a certain rule to meet the requirements of information transmission, processing, storage, display, recording, and control.
The characteristics of HYDAC sensors include miniaturization, digitization, intelligence, multifunctionality, systematization, and networking. It is a primary link in achieving automatic detection and automatic control. The existence and development of sensors have endowed objects with senses such as touch, taste, and smell, gradually bringing them to life. Sensors are generally categorized based on their basic sensing functions, including thermal sensors, light sensors, gas sensors, force sensors, magnetic sensors, humidity sensors, acoustic sensors, radiation sensors, color sensors, and taste sensors.
HYDAC sensors have already permeated an extremely wide range of fields, such as industrial production, space exploration, ocean exploration, environmental protection, resource surveys, medical diagnosis, bioengineering, and even cultural relic preservation. It is no exaggeration to say that from the vastness of space to the immensity of the ocean, and to various complex engineering systems, almost every modern project relies on various types of sensors.
Therefore, the crucial role of sensor technology in economic development and social progress is undeniable. Countries worldwide attach great importance to the development of this field. It is believed that in the near future, sensor technology will experience a leap forward, reaching a new level commensurate with its important status.
