When host A transmits data to host B within the same local area network, the data packet is transmitted in a broadcast manner on a network based on a hub architecture. In this operating mode, only one set of data frames can be transmitted on the network at a time; if a collision occurs, it must be retried. This method is called shared network bandwidth.
