KQ6002KQ6001 IFM capacitive proximity switches typically use one plate of a capacitor for measurement, while the other plate is the switch's housing. This housing is usually grounded or connected to the equipment's casing during measurement. When an object moves towards the proximity switch, regardless of whether it is a conductor, its proximity causes a change in the dielectric constant of the capacitor, thus changing the capacitance. This change in capacitance alters the state of the circuit connected to the measuring head, thereby controlling the switch's on/off state. The objects detected by this type of proximity switch are not limited to conductors; they can also detect insulating liquids or powders.
