ATOS Solenoid Valve Media Characteristics

1) Different types of solenoid valves should be selected for gaseous, liquid, or mixed states;

2) Different specifications of products should be used for different media temperatures, otherwise the coil will burn out, the seals will age, and the lifespan will be severely affected;

3) Media viscosity is usually below 50 cSt. If it exceeds this value, use a multi-functional solenoid valve when the nominal diameter is greater than 15mm; use a high-viscosity solenoid valve when the nominal diameter is less than 15mm.

4) When the media cleanliness is not high, a backflush filter valve should be installed before the solenoid valve. When the pressure is low, a direct-acting diaphragm solenoid valve can be selected;

5) If the media flows in a directional manner and backflow is not allowed, a bidirectional flow valve is required;

6) The media temperature should be selected within the allowable range of the solenoid valve. ATOS solenoid valves from Italy are electromagnetically controlled industrial devices, fundamental components of automation used to control fluids. They are actuators, not limited to hydraulic or pneumatic systems. Used in industrial control systems to adjust the direction, flow rate, speed, and other parameters of the medium. Solenoid valves can be used with different circuits to achieve the desired control, ensuring both precision and flexibility. There are many types of solenoid valves, each playing a different role in the control system; commonly used types include check valves, safety valves, directional control valves, and speed regulating valves.

The principle of ATOS solenoid valves: It combines direct-acting and pilot-operated principles. When there is no pressure difference between the inlet and outlet, energizing the valve causes the electromagnetic force to lift the pilot valve and the main valve closing element sequentially, opening the valve. When the inlet and outlet reach the starting pressure difference, energizing the valve causes the electromagnetic force to actuate the pilot valve, increasing the pressure in the lower chamber of the main valve and decreasing the pressure in the upper chamber, thus using the pressure difference to push the main valve open. When de-energized, the pilot valve uses spring force or medium pressure to push the closing element downwards, closing the valve.

Italian ATOS solenoid valves are categorized into six subcategories based on differences in valve structure, materials, and operating principles: direct-acting diaphragm structure, step-direct-acting diaphragm structure, pilot-operated diaphragm structure, direct-acting piston structure, step-direct-acting piston structure, and pilot-operated piston structure.
