SUN PRDB-LBN relief valve from the USA - in stock.

$429.87

Common malfunctions of SUN relief valves from the USA include pilot solenoid valve failure, main valve pressure regulation failure, and impact noise during unloading. The latter can be reduced or eliminated by adjusting the added buffer. If no buffer is used, a back pressure valve can be added to the main valve overflow port (the pressure is generally adjusted to about 5 kgf/cm2, i.e., 0.5 MPa).

SUN Relief Valve Technical Specifications (USA)

SUN pilot-operated, balanced slide valve relief valves are normally closed pressure regulating valves. When the inlet (port 1) pressure reaches the valve setpoint, the valve begins to overflow into the tank (port 2), throttling to regulate pressure. These valves offer high pressure regulation accuracy, minimal pressure fluctuations with flow rate changes, smooth regulation, low noise, and moderate response.

All 2-port relief valves (except pilot-operated relief valves) are interchangeable in size and function (e.g., valves with the same flow path and port for a given external dimensions).

Maximum pressure can be accepted at port 2; suitable for use in cross-port relief circuits. If used in cross-port relief circuits, consider slide valve leakage.

Minimum setting for all spring ranges is 75 psi (5 bar).

Due to slide valve leakage, they are not suitable for use in load-locking applications.

The back pressure at the tank opening (port 2) is directly increased to the valve setpoint at a 1:1 ratio.

The damping orifice of the main stage is protected against contamination.

Cartridge valves equipped with EPDM seals can be used in phosphate ester hydraulic oil systems. Exposure to petroleum-based hydraulic oils or greases will damage the seals.

The Sun floating structure reduces the possibility of internal parts sticking due to excessive installation torque or machining errors in the cartridge/cartridge valve.

The American SUN relief valve is a hydraulic pressure control valve, mainly used in hydraulic equipment for constant pressure relief, pressure stabilization, system unloading, and safety protection. During assembly or use, damage to O-rings, combination seals, or loose mounting screws or pipe fittings can cause unwanted external leakage.

If the cone valve or main valve core is excessively worn, or if there is poor contact at the sealing surface, excessive internal leakage will occur, even affecting normal operation.

Main Functions of the American SUN Relief Valve

Constant Pressure Relief: In a fixed displacement pump throttling system, the fixed displacement pump provides a constant flow rate. When system pressure increases, the flow demand decreases. At this time, the relief valve opens, allowing excess flow to return to the oil tank, ensuring a constant inlet pressure (i.e., pump outlet pressure) (the valve opening fluctuates with pressure).

Pressure stabilization: The relief valve is connected in series in the return oil line, generating back pressure and increasing the smoothness of moving parts.

System unloading: A small-flow solenoid valve is connected in series with the remote control port of the relief valve. When the solenoid is energized, the remote control port of the relief valve connects to the oil tank, unloading the hydraulic pump. The relief valve then functions as an unloading valve.

Safety protection: The valve is closed during normal system operation. It only opens when the load exceeds the specified limit (system pressure exceeds the set pressure) for overload protection, preventing further pressure increases (typically, the set pressure of the relief valve is 10%~20% higher than the system's maximum operating pressure).

Practical applications generally include: unloading valve, remote pressure regulating valve, high/low pressure multi-stage control valve, sequence valve, and generating back pressure (connected in series in the return oil line).

Relief valves generally come in two structures: 1. Direct-acting relief valve; 2. Pilot-operated relief valve.

The main requirements for relief valves are: wide pressure regulation range, small pressure regulation deviation, small pressure fluctuation, sensitive operation, large overload capacity, and low noise.
