KRACHT relief valves are used in industrial hydraulic applications, such as petroleum, chemical, machinery, wind power, and mining. KRACHT relief valves are hydraulic pressure control valves. In hydraulic equipment, they mainly function as constant pressure relief valves, pressure stabilizers, system unloading valves, and safety protection valves. A small-flow solenoid valve is connected in series with the remote control port of the relief valve. When the solenoid is energized, the remote control port of the relief valve is connected to the oil tank, and the hydraulic pump is unloaded. The relief valve then functions as an unloading valve.
Safety protection function: The valve is closed during normal system operation. It only opens to relieve pressure when the load exceeds the specified limit (system pressure exceeds the set pressure), providing overload protection and preventing further pressure increase (typically, the set pressure of the relief valve is 10%–20% higher than the system's highest working pressure). In practical applications, it is generally used as an unloading valve, a remote pressure regulating valve, a high/low pressure multi-stage control valve, a sequence valve, and to generate back pressure (connected in series in the return oil line). Relief valves generally have two structures: 1. Direct-acting relief valve; 2. Pilot-operated relief valve. The main requirements for relief valves are: large pressure adjustment range, small pressure adjustment deviation, small pressure fluctuation, sensitive operation, large overload capacity, and low noise.

Structure of Kracht SPV/SPVF Direct-Acting Valves
The sliding piston 2 is pressed against the annular region a by the compression spring 3. Therefore, the p port, which communicates with the pump, and the R port, which communicates with the oil tank, are separated by a seal at diameter D. Once the working pressure reaches the pressure set by adjusting screw 4, the sliding piston 2 begins to unload hydraulic oil into the oil tank. The spring chamber b is pressure compensated by orifice c. Initially, the spring chamber b must be vented through the vent hole 5 (hexagonal screw). The valve is best installed vertically so that the pressure setting is vertically downward. This relief valve has four pressure adjustment ranges because the spring compression ratio determines that each spring can only cover a limited pressure adjustment range.
