How to Distinguish Between Normally Open and Normally Closed GSR Solenoid Valves

German GSR solenoid valves are generally divided into normally closed and normally open types; a special type is the self-holding solenoid valve, also called a normally open and normally closed solenoid valve.
A normally closed GSR solenoid valve means that the valve is closed when the coil is de-energized and open when the coil is energized.
A normally open GSR solenoid valve means that the valve is open when the coil is de-energized and closed when the coil is energized.
We can choose based on the duration of continuous operation: normally closed, normally open, or continuously energized.
1. When a GSR solenoid valve needs to be open for a long time, and the opening time is longer than the closing time, a normally open type should be selected.
2. When both prolonged opening and closing are required, a holding solenoid valve, also known as a German GSR normally open/normally closed solenoid valve, should be selected.
3. When a German GSR solenoid valve needs to be closed for extended periods, with the closing time exceeding the opening time, a normally closed type should be selected.
4. However, for some safety protection applications, such as furnace and kiln flame monitoring, a normally open type cannot be selected; a type that can be continuously energized should be chosen.
5. For gas alarm systems, a normally open German GSR gas emergency shut-off solenoid valve with manual opening should be selected.
GSR pneumatic solenoid valves are used in various medium-temperature, high-temperature, normal-pressure, and high-pressure applications. They are suitable for automatic control of pipelines carrying medium- and high-temperature hot water, high-temperature steam, saturated steam, superheated steam, and heat transfer oil. They are widely used in kiln equipment, drying equipment, petrochemicals, biopharmaceuticals, HVAC, electroplating and coating, rubber and plastics machinery, food and beverage, papermaking, printing and dyeing, and power and mining industries. They are essential products for automation control engineering, project upgrades, and equipment matching. For special applications, these valves can be continuously powered for extended periods, employing all-metal seals and supporting media temperatures up to 450℃. They can be used with a mixture of liquids, steam, condensate, and oils, further expanding their application range. Different media require specific sealing methods, enhancing the valve's overall performance. A novel and ingenious valve core structure and integrated heat dissipation device result in a more compact design, weighing only one-third of similar products. The stainless steel piston structure automatically compensates for valve core wear, extending the valve's lifespan and reliability, allowing for continuous and frequent operation.
