AVENTICS pressure regulating valve working principle:

AVENTICS pressure regulating valves are essentially pressure reducing valves. Their working principle is as follows: high-pressure media is forced through a small orifice into a relatively large chamber, achieving pressure reduction. This is achieved through flow throttling. One side of the diaphragm or piston is the outlet chamber, and the other side receives the applied pressure. A valve stem controlling the orifice size is connected to the diaphragm (piston). Thus, as long as a fixed pressure is applied, the pressure in the outlet chamber will always equal that pressure. This applied pressure can be provided by a spring, air source, or hydraulic source.

AVENTICS pressure regulating valves are classified according to their application and function, main parameters, pressure, medium operating temperature, special applications (i.e., special/dedicated valves), driving energy source, and structure. The most common classification method is by structure, dividing regulating valves into nine main categories: six linear stroke and three rotary stroke.

What are filter pressure regulating valves used for? Pressure reduction. Pneumatic valve positioners are designed and operate based on the principle of force balance. When the signal pressure entering the bellows increases, lever 2 rotates around the fulcrum, bringing the baffle closer to the nozzle. The nozzle back pressure, amplified by the amplifier, is sent to the diaphragm actuator's air chamber, causing the valve stem to move downwards and driving the feedback rod (rocker arm) to rotate around the fulcrum. The feedback cam (eccentric cam) connected to the same shaft also rotates counterclockwise, causing lever 1 to rotate around the fulcrum via rollers. This stretches the feedback spring, and the instrument reaches equilibrium when the spring's tension on lever 2 and the force exerted by the signal pressure on the bellows reach torque balance. At this point, a specific signal pressure corresponds to a specific valve position. This is the direct-acting mechanism. To change the mechanism, simply flip the cam, changing direction A to direction B, etc.

A direct-acting positioner increases the output pressure as the signal pressure increases; a reverse-acting positioner decreases the output pressure as the signal pressure increases. A direct-acting actuator, when equipped with a reverse-acting positioner, can achieve the action of a reverse-acting actuator; conversely, a reverse-acting actuator, when equipped with a reverse-acting positioner, can achieve the action of a direct-acting actuator. Linear stroke valves mainly come in two types: single-seat and double-seat.
