When there is a large area of ​​steam leakage at the mating surface of an AVENTICS cylinder, with a gap of approximately 0.50 mm, a coating process can be used to reduce the amount of scraping work. AVENTICS cylinders are pneumatic actuators that convert the pressure energy of compressed gas into mechanical energy in pneumatic transmission.

Cylinders are pneumatic actuators that convert the pressure energy of compressed gas into mechanical energy. There are two types of cylinders: those that perform reciprocating linear motion and those that perform reciprocating oscillating motion (see figure). Cylinders that perform reciprocating linear motion can be further divided into four types: single-acting cylinders, double-acting cylinders, diaphragm cylinders, and impact cylinders.

① Single-acting cylinder: Only one end has a piston rod. Air is supplied from one side of the piston to generate pressure, which pushes the piston to extend. It returns to its original position by a spring or its own weight.

② Double-acting cylinder: Air is supplied alternately from both sides of the piston, outputting force in one or two directions.

③ Diaphragm cylinder: A diaphragm replaces the piston, outputting force in only one direction and returning to its original position by a spring. It has good sealing performance but a short stroke.

④ Impact cylinder: This is a new type of component. It converts the pressure energy of compressed gas into the kinetic energy of the piston's high-speed (10~20 m/s) motion to perform work. ⑤ Rodless Cylinder: A general term for cylinders without a piston rod. There are two main categories: magnetic cylinders and cable cylinders.

A cylinder that performs a reciprocating oscillation is called an oscillating cylinder. A vane divides the internal cavity into two, and air is alternately supplied to the two cavities, causing the output shaft to oscillate. The oscillation angle is less than 280°. Other types include rotary cylinders, pneumatic-hydraulic damping cylinders, and stepping cylinders.

AVENTICS Cylinder Causes

Internal and external leakage in AVENTICS cylinders is generally caused by piston rod misalignment, insufficient lubrication, worn or damaged seals and sealing rings, impurities inside the cylinder, and scratches on the piston rod. Therefore, when internal and external leakage occurs, the piston rod center should be readjusted to ensure coaxiality between the piston rod and the cylinder barrel; the oil mist lubricator should be checked frequently to ensure proper lubrication of the actuator; worn or damaged seals and sealing rings should be replaced promptly; impurities inside the cylinder should be removed promptly; and scratches on the piston rod should be addressed by replacing it.

Insufficient output force and unstable operation of AVENTICS cylinders are generally caused by piston or piston rod jamming, poor lubrication, insufficient air supply, or the presence of condensate and impurities in the cylinder. To address this, the piston rod centering should be adjusted; the lubricator should be checked for reliable operation; and the air supply line should be checked for blockages. Condensate and impurities in the cylinder should be removed promptly.

Poor cylinder cushioning is generally caused by worn cushioning seals or damaged adjusting screws. In this case, the seals and adjusting screws should be replaced.

Damage to the piston rod and cylinder head of AVENTICS cylinders is generally caused by eccentric piston rod installation or a malfunctioning cushioning mechanism. To address this, the piston rod centering should be adjusted; the cushioning seals or adjusting screws should be replaced.
