The hydraulic shock caused by the very short unloading time of the Italian ATOS proportional relief valve occurs during unloading. The rapid change in oil flow velocity during unloading causes a sudden pressure change, resulting in a pressure wave. This pressure wave is a small shock wave with minimal noise on its own, but as it travels through the system with the oil, it can amplify vibration and noise if it resonates with any mechanical component. Therefore, hydraulic shock noise is usually accompanied by system vibration.

ATOS RZMO proportional relief valve is a slide-type proportional relief valve, pilot-operated, with integrated or remote pressure sensors. The pressure regulation of the slide is proportional to the input current. The proportional valve works in conjunction with an electronic amplifier (see Section [Number]). The electronic amplifier adjusts the drive current of the proportional valve according to the input signal, making the valve output correspond to the input signal. Different types of proportional valves are available:
-TERS type: With an integrated pressure sensor (④) and an integrated digital amplifier (⑤) for pre-adjusted closed-loop control, greatly improving the valve's dynamic and static performance.
-AERS type: Same as the TERS type, but without an integrated pressure sensor (reserved interface for remote pressure sensor). System pressure setting is achieved by controlling the main valve core (①) through the pilot proportional relief valve (②). An additional pressure-compensated flow valve (③) ensures constant pilot flow, thereby improving pressure stability. The integrated amplifier is factory pre-adjusted, offering excellent performance. The valve and slide are interchangeable. Simplified wiring and installation. The standard electrical main plug (7 pins) is the same for ERS type valves and AERS type valves. A standard 7-pin plug is used for power connection. Analog input and monitoring signals are supported. A 12-pin connector is used for valves with option 2.
The following communication interfaces are optional for ATOS proportional relief valves:
-PS. Serial communication interface. Used for parameter setting, signal monitoring, and firmware updates via Atos PC software.
-BC, CANopen interface
-B. PROFIBUS DP interface.
Vehicles with BC and BP interfaces can be embedded into a bus communication network. This allows digital signal control of the valve by the machine control unit.
