ATOS proportional pilot valves are classified as follows:

Classification by proportional valve control method refers to the classification based on the electromechanical conversion method in the pilot control valve of the proportional valve. The electrical control part can take various forms, such as proportional electromagnets, torque motors, and DC servo motors.

(1) Electromagnetic Type: Electromagnetic valves use a proportional electromagnet as the electromechanical conversion element. The proportional electromagnet converts the input current signal into a force and displacement mechanical signal output, thereby controlling parameters such as pressure, flow rate, and direction.

(2) Electric Type: Electric valves use a DC servo motor as the electromechanical conversion element. The DC servo motor converts the input electrical signal into a rotational speed, which is then reduced by a screw nut, gear rack, or gear cam, and outputs force and displacement to further control hydraulic parameters.

(3) Electro-hydraulic Type: Electro-hydraulic valves use a torque motor and nozzle baffle structure as the pilot control stage. Different electrical signals are input to the torque motor, and displacement or angular displacement is output through a baffle connected to it (sometimes the armature of the torque motor is the baffle). This changes the distance between the baffle and the nozzle, causing a change in the flow resistance of the oil sprayed from the nozzle, thereby controlling the output parameters.

Characteristics of ATOS proportional pilot valve:

A proportional control valve is a control valve that continuously and proportionally controls the flow, pressure, and direction of a hydraulic system according to the input electrical signal. Its output flow and pressure are unaffected by load changes.

Compared with ordinary hydraulic components, proportional valves have the following characteristics:

(1) Electrical signals are easy to transmit, enabling simple remote control.

(2) It can continuously and proportionally control the pressure and flow of the hydraulic system, realizing the control of the position, speed, and force of the actuator, and reducing the impact during pressure changes.

(3) It reduces the number of components and simplifies the oil circuit.
